Sam Raimi’s new horror movie Bermuda Triangle is in development at Skydance Productions and today we learned the (fittingly) mysterious new film has snagged one of the biggest names in Hollywood.
Yes, That Hashtag Show reports that Ryan Reynolds will star in the lead role. At the moment there are no details on who Reynolds will be playing. That said, the studio is casting the female lead so maybe we will know more soon.
The film will be directed by Sam Raimi (Evil Dead 2, Drag Me to Hell) from a script written by John Gatniss (Power Rangers) and produced by Don Granger, David Ellison, and Dan Goldberg (Annihilation). It begins shooting this September.
When a massive submarine carry nuclear weapons goes missing in the Bermuda Triangle, Commander Vogel enlists the help of Dr. Fisk a theoretical physicist, who while using his grandfather’s research opens a wormhole to reveal a mysterious island that is inhabited by anything lost in the triangle including Sharks, Vikings, and Nazis, in the hopes of finding the nuclear weapons.
